Community Pop-Ups, part of the WE RISE initiative of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, take place across all Los Angeles County neighborhoods, in partnership with over 50 community groups, artists, grassroots leaders, healers and other LA County Departments. WE RISE highlights and supports the vital community-centered and civic work taking place in these neighborhoods. These events, projects and collaborations include mural making, ancestral healing workshops, a Countywide public literary art project and more to celebrate the remarkable resources and communities in LA County and use arts-based strategies for healing and wellbeing.

D9 Farmstand & Art Gallery Launch

COVID-safe event. Buildout of the farmstand at North Long Beach Victory Garden, a neighborhood green education hub with a garden, community kitchen and meeting space. Once finished, the farm stand will be used to sell locally grown food to the community, as well as have created an additional space for an art gallery where neighbors can share their paintings, historic photos and juried exhibits. Organized in partnership with the Nehyam Neighborhood Association.
